After completing an MSc in Surgical Sciences at Imperial College, London I moved to Leicester to take up an Academic Clinical Fellowship in General/Vascular Surgery. I am currently a British Heart Foundation clinical research fellow undertaking my PhD looking at cardiovascular risk around surgery at the University of Leicester. I am also the President of the Association of Surgeons in Training, and am the Trainee Representative on Society of Academic & Research Surgery Council.
I am an academic foundation trainee in the Welsh deanery, currently undertaking research in device innovation and simulation with the Welsh Institute of Minimal Access Therapies (WiMAT). I am the current foundation trainee representative to the Association of Surgeons in Training and am a founding member of the national student research collaborative in General Surgery, STARSurg.
I am a Medical Student, currently at the University of Sheffield. I am involved in research, with particular interest in heat shock protein-mediated cell responses in hypoxic microenvironments. I am very engaged in collaborative research with STARSurg, GlobalSurg, SYSuRG and the Cochrane Collaboration Colorectal Cancer group.
