Understanding how CPET influences decision-making before elective AAA repair.
A national collaborative survey investigating how cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) is used to risk stratify patients undergoing elective abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. Eligible contributors will receive collaborative authorship on the resulting publication.

REPAIR (Personalising risk stratification using cardiopulmonary exercise testing in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms undergoing elective repair) is a collaborative vascular research survey run by the Vascular and Endovascular Research Network (VERN) in collaboration with the Vascular Anaesthesia Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
Cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) is widely used before elective abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair, but its role in clinical practice is not well characterised. REPAIR aims to understand how CPET is currently used for preoperative risk stratification and how it influences clinical decision-making for patients undergoing elective AAA repair.
The survey is open to vascular surgeons, anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals involved in elective AAA care and takes approximately 5 minutes to complete. It can be completed individually or collaboratively as a team.
Collaborative publication authorship and a certificate of contribution are available to eligible participants.

Complete REPAIR in around 5 minutes and contribute to a national collaborative study.
Vascular and anaesthetic teams can complete the survey collaboratively.
All eligible contributors will receive collaborative authorship on publications resulting from the REPAIR study.
A certificate of contribution is available on request following completion.
For healthcare professionals involved in elective AAA care.
REPAIR is open to healthcare professionals working at centres undertaking elective AAA repair. The survey can be completed individually or collaboratively by members of the vascular and anaesthetic team.
To receive collaborative authorship on resulting publications:
The survey can also be completed as a group and we are pleased to offer collaborative authorship to all who take part, along with a certificate following completion if required
Help build the evidence base around how CPET is used for AAA risk stratification.
Your response will help describe variation in decision-making across centres.
Contribute alongside vascular and anaesthetic teams across participating centres.
Eligible contributors will receive collaborative authorship on publications arising from the REPAIR study.
The REPAIR Survey takes approximately 5 minutes. Your response will help us understand how CPET is being used in elective AAA repair.
